I kinda feel this argument would have more of an impact if it didn't come from such a place of ignorance. There are a lot chromosome aberrations or chromosmal non-disjunctions. Some are autosomal, like down syndrome, and others are allosomal, like Klinefelter syndrome (XXY syndrome). Not to mention SRY-crossover and twin-mosaics. So chromosome analysis is not the be-all-end-all way to classify stuff like gender or sex. Am I correct in assuming this post is anti-transgender? If you want biological underpinnings of your arguments, might I suggest neuro-science. BUT BE WARNED: you might not like it if they find evidence that feeling yourself to be a women or a man in the neurological sense as nothing to do with your wiggly bits. Cause that is where science is right now.

Gender can refer to roles or identity not just biological sex. As soon as we’re talking about it in this context biology (which is not yet at the level of understanding complex human feelings or behaviours) is no longer relevant and we must rely on psychology and sociology instead. Also words are not defined by dictionaries or by biology text books they’re defined by how they are used so as soon as people start using the word “gender” to mean something other than biological sex the word gains new meanings and there’s really no point crying about it like a little bitch.
